Everyone was of the same class, without class consciousness. They all conceived that government is the noblest calling, but they had insipid class politics and a weak chin. Honestly, it’s an accurate representation of the folks who work in Washington, and they’ll all probably vote for Warren, a Harvard liberal with superficial class politics.
